The restoration of the historical buildings on the bank of the River Main has been finished. A whole series of newly conceived exhibitions on Frankfurt's widely varied history will await you. The construction measures will conclude with the opening of the new building on the Römerberg scheduled for 2016.

Accessibility
During the construction works the exhibition areas in the museum's old buildings are not barrier-free. 2016 with the opening of the museum's new buildings all exhibition areas excludingly the Toll Tower will be completely barrier-free.
