Permanent Exhibitions

The alterations and new construction taking place at the historisches museum also involves the buildings‘ interiors. Since the facilities in the historical buildings at the north bank of the Main reopened 2012, a whole series of newly conceived exhibitions on Frankfurt's widely varied history await you. The construction measures will conclude with the opening of the new building on the Römerberg scheduled for 2015, at which time the historisches museum will present itself as a modern municipal museum of the twenty-first century.
