The Historisches Museum is a
museum for the history of Frankfurt.
It is located at the Römer building complex.
The staff at the
Historisches Museum
are always happy when many different people visit the museum.
It doesn’t matter whether they are young or old.
It doesn’t matter what job they have.
It doesn’t matter which country they come from.
It doesn’t matter whether they are rich or poor.
And it doesn’t matter whether or not they have any
physical or mental disabilities.

Opening hours
The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
On saturday and sunday it is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
It is open every day, even on public holidays.
It is always closed on Mondays.
 
Travelling to the museum by bus and train
By tram, line 11 or 12:
Stop: Römer/Paulskirche.
With the U-Bahn, line 4 or 5:
Stop: Dom/Römer.
 
Admission prices
Admission costs
- 8 euros for the permanent exhibitions
- 10 euros for the special exhibitions
- 12 euros for all exhibitions
Reduced admission costs
- 4 euros for the permanent exhibitions
- 5 euros for the special exhibitions
- 6 euros for all exhibitions
The following persons only pay the half price:
– Unemployed persons
– Persons receiving social welfare
– Students
– Persons with severe disabilities
Please show us your ID.

Groups of more than 20 people only pay the reduced admission costs per person.
Entry is free for children under 18 years of age.
SCHOOL CLASSES can visit the museum.
Please register beforehand.
You will then not have to pay any admission.

Do you have a FRANKFURT CARD or FRANKFURT PASS?
Then admission only costs half of the admission costs.

Do you have a MUSEUMSUFER TICKET or a MUSEUMSUFER CARD?
Then admission is free.
There are sometimes special exhibitions.
You may have to pay admission for these.

You can purchase the Museumsufer Ticket in the Historisches Museum Frankfurt.
This can be used to visit museums in Frankfurt on 2 consecutive days.
The ticket costs 21 euros.
The reduced ticket costs 12 euros.

You can also purchase the Museumsufer Card in the Historisches Museum Frankfurt.
This can be used to visit museums in Frankfurt for a duration of 1 year.
The ticket costs 95 euros.
The reduced ticket costs 48 euros.
